MY STORY

I’m a former Division I Women’s Basketball player from Chicago turned founder, speaker, facilitator, and DE&I advocate with a passion for supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs and telling the stories of marginalized communities through print and digital media platforms.

I believe that one person has the power to make a positive and everlasting change in the world and I’m most fulfilled when I’m leveraging my skills in project management, strategic planning, and content strategy to help mission-driven companies (and people) excel.

LEADER

As an athlete, the oldest sibling, and a proud ENFJ, I have always been called to leadership. My passion and heart for people have provided me with the opportunity to lead some of the most diverse teams in the world at some of the country’s most established organizations in the higher education, healthcare, and tech industries.

People are at the heart of everything that I do and few things bring me more joy and fulfillment than guiding and empowering my team and those around me to grow into their best selves. Never afraid to bring new perspectives to the table, I’m always prepared to stand up for the people and the ideas that I believe in while working to make the world around me (and the organization I’m in) a better place.

ADVOCATE

As someone who has endured my own challenges with mental health, access to culturally competent healthcare, and the residual effects of domestic abuse, I spend my free time providing support to others who are also working to overcome these obstacles.

My passion for advocacy has led me to lead local and national campaigns, programs, and workshops around the US with the hopes of diminishing the stigma around mental health, making quality healthcare accessible to all, and empowering victims of domestic abuse.

FACILITATOR

Hailing from a family of educators, teaching, facilitating, and curriculum writing has always been a part of my DNA. As a result, these three things have also been a cornerstone of my professional career.

Since graduating from business school in 2014, I have served as a professor on college campuses, developed and facilitated curriculum for the country’s most prominent institutions, and now lead workshops across the country centered around entrepreneurship, communication strategies, leadership development and diversity, equity & inclusion in the workplace.

ENTREPRENEUR

After spending the first phase of my career working to prepare some of the most prominent athletes in collegiate athletics for life post sport, I recognized that my work had the ability to change the lives of people outside of college campuses as well.

Since I came to that realization in 2017, I have launched numerous businesses all centered on preparing high school, college, and professional athletes to lead fulfilling lives of leadership and service beyond sport.

My business endeavors now focus on leveraging my past experience as an entrepreneur and as a leader at some of the country’s most notable tech companies to help other entrepreneurs launch, build, and scale the companies of their dreams.
