I serve as a mentor for a group of middle school students from an under-served school in San Francisco. During the course of the program, each student is tasked with writing a short-story that is connected to their identity. At the conclusion of the writing and review process, mentors like myself work with students to compile their stories into a book. Once the book is completed, it becomes available for purchase online and the proceeds go back to support the students' school.
