One Love Foundation
Role: Program Lead / Domestic Violence Awareness Committee Chair
Dates: January 2015 - January 2016
Responsibility: Appointed Committee Chair of the One Love Foundation Domestic Violence Awareness Commitee. On this committee, I was responsible for mobilizing both inner-department and cross-campus staff to put on the country’s first-ever “One Love Week.” This was a week of activities designed to educate students (including non-student-athletes), faculty, and staff about the warning signs of relationship abuse. This program was the first of its kind because it combined 50 student leaders from around the Texas Tech campus and provided them with an opportunity to work towards a common goal.
